“What should I pack for my Ski Holiday”, this is the question that gets all holidaymakers thinking about the week before their scheduled trip.

We have put together an insiders guide and a top 10 list of items you don’t want to forget! Everyone will bring the basics:- jacket, ski pants, goggoles, gloves, thermals, ski socks, helmet. We wanted to give you some tips about things you wouldn’t think about or wouldn’t know about!

  • Something to Read – There’s nothing more relaxing than curling up with a book after a day on the slopes.
  • A Good Pair of Trainers – The best way to enjoy après-ski fun is to hit the vibrant nightlife with comfy trainers. Ladies, ditch the heels!
  • A Buff – My lifesaver on windy mountain days! It takes the edge off the wind chill.
  • Films – Whether on an iPad, hard drive, or physical DVD, it’s great to unwind and rest with a movie.
  • Good Casual Clothes – Perfect for taking a day off the slopes and exploring Queenstown’s exciting activities and trips.
  • A Bathing Suit – End your skiing day with a relaxing swim or sauna session to soothe your body and muscles.
  • High-Factor Sunblock/Suncream – Altitude and reflective sun rays make it easy to burn—don’t get caught out; be prepared!
  • A Small Day Rucksack – Ideal for storing essentials like water, suncream, snacks, and extra clothing while on the slopes.
  • Polarized Sunglasses – Protect your eyes from strong sun rays when walking or enjoying lunch. Goggles aren’t ideal for lunch!
  • Deep Heat – A great remedy for the aches and pains that come from skiing. Be ready to soothe soreness after day one.
